Jalandhar-based contractor to manage railway station parking space

LUDHIANA: After a lot of hue and cry, the native railway government have entrusted the responsibilty of the principle parking loads of the city railway station to a Jalandhar-based contractor for a period of 3 years. The automobile parking space used to be earlier running at the policy of “park automobiles at your personal possibility” providing no security to automobiles, stationed inside the city station premises.

The decision has come as a reduction for frequent guests to the city railway station because earlier passengers needed to face a lot of issues whilst parking their pricey automobiles under no-one steerage in the station area for a number of hours.

Meanwhile railway resources claimed that in spite of everything the contract has been given to an organization after four failed tendering procedure. Earlier on, the smooth procedure used to be ‘spoiled’ through the contractor’s foyer leaving the parking contract striking causing financial losses to the government.

Station director, Abhinav Singla, said, “From Sunday onwards passengers and guests would now not face any downside parking their automobiles at the station premises. Passengers can now trip with none hindrance through the city station with a body caring for the car parking zone.”
