Karnataka election 2018: Hindutva will be election plank in the state, says BJP

MYSURU: Accusing the Siddaramaiah executive of going soft at the killers of local RSS employee K Raju, BJP nationwide president Amit Shah on Friday reiterated that the party’s Hindu time table will likely be one of its election planks.
Raju used to be standing near Netaji Circle in Mysuru when a gaggle of bikers attacked him with sickles in 2016. He died at the spot. “I strongly condemn the acts of violence in opposition to RSS and BJP activists in Karnataka after the Siddaramaiah executive came to power. There is no room for violence in politics,” Shah said.

Shah visited Raju’s space in Kyathamaranahalli, a communally sensitive area, in northeast Mysuru. His consult with comes within the backdrop of his going to the spot where Vishwanath Shetty used to be murdered in Shivamogga town, where a mega rally used to be held previous this week.

Stating that Hindutva will likely be a subject within the elections, Shah said: “If Siddaramaiah and the Congress consider that by way of using violence they may be able to forestall the drift of our ideology, then they're residing in a dream world.”

He said the modus operandi hired for 22 of the 24 murders of Hindu activists used to be similar to that of Raju’s, whom he called a “youth icon”. But the state police has now not introduced the culprits to guide, he claimed.

On the Congress executive retreating cases in opposition to Popular Front of India (PFI) and KFD as being the high reason why for “encouraging” the killings, Shah said the killers are roaming freely. “Today, by way of retreating cases, going gradual on prosecution and helping them evade the law, the killers are being inspired,” Shah maintained.

“I wish to tell the people and our staff that the countdown for the Siddaramaiah executive has begun and after we come to power, the killers will likely be hunted from pathal (underground) and put in the back of bars,” he said.

STREETS DESERTED

Roads resulting in Raju’s place of dwelling in Kyathamaranahalli wore a deserted glance until BJP leader Amit Shah completed his consult with on Friday.

A shopkeeper attributed it to police restrictions in Kyathamaranahlli, a communally sensitive area of Mysuru. Ahead of Shah’s consult with, police controlled the access of vehicles until mid-day and cordoned off two streets, resulting in a ‘curfew like’ scenario there.
