Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launches special development councils for tribal districts

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched the particular construction councils for 9 tribal-dominated districts in the state in presence of tribals from around the state.

Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nabarangapur are the 9 districts, the place the tribals comprise about 50 per cent of the total population of the districts, can have the councils. Odisha has 62 types of tribals.

The councils are shaped with key goals of conservation and propagation of tribal tradition, recognition of indigenous knowledge, documentation of tribal tradition, tradition and practices, identity of tribal sources, organizing publicity discuss with, promotion of tribal language and dialects, space particular construction interventions, mentioned an official source.
