NEW DELHI: The Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday approved an offer to deliver ration in packets at the homes of beneficiaries, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia mentioned.
Addressing media individuals here, Sisodia mentioned the decision was once taken in a Cabinet assembly and that the transport will be finished through a non-public corporate.
The proposal will now be despatched to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for his approval and then a young will be floated for hiring the personal corporate for transport.
The Deputy Chief Minister also instructed the Lt. Governor to approve the scheme as soon as imaginable and added that folks with vested pursuits had attempted to stop the scheme even via a "Cabinet note".
Last week, Sisodia had alleged that Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash and different officials had been operating under the influence of the ration mafia.
He had also mentioned that senior officials had been seeking to block doorstep-delivery of ration, as it could put an end to the ration mafia.
