NEW DELHI: Six street corridors of Delhi, including Vikas Marg, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, New Rohtak Road, Patel Road, Outer Ring Road, might be de-congested by government.
This is the second one section of workout of de-congestion of roads by the duty force formed by Lt Governor Anil Baijal.
Baijal these days held a assessment assembly with all of the stakeholders to study the growth on traffic decongestion of 5 pilot corridors.
"Lt Governor directed the stakeholders to ensure that there should not be any re-encroachment, after removal of encroachment. He stressed that local police/thana should assume responsibility for the same," the L-G place of job said in a observation.
It said that six new corridors - Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, New Rohtak Road, Patel Road, Outer Ring Road, Shahid Jagat Narayan Marg and Vikas Marg - were identified by job force for decongestion of traffic.
The observation also said that the LG prompt all 3 MCDs to revisit their licensing norms for business establishments in order that they should be related with availability of ok parking lot.
