Tobacco businessman shoots self to end life

AHMEDABAD: Jitendra Patel, 66, often referred to as Rajabhai Bidiwala, co-owner of Jashvant Bidi Group, was found dead from his bungalow behind Karnavati Club on SG Road on Sunday morning. Patel had shot self in the temple with an authorized revolver. Primary investigation pointed in opposition to melancholy as the cause of his extreme step.
According to Sarkhej police, Patel’s son Shantibhai informed town police keep watch over room at 8am about demise of his father. A staff of policemen and forensic science experts soon reached Rajabhai Bidiwala Park at Springvalley Bungalows.

“According to her statement, she had long gone to sleep at about 1.30am. At that time, Patel was gazing TV. When she woke up at about 6.30am on Sunday morning, she did not see Patel and informed her son. When they approached the room, the TV was still on and Patel had collapsed at the double mattress,” he said.


Ramani added that Patel had a Webley revolver lying close to his hand. He had shot himself in the temple . Police have no longer found any suicide be aware. “We are but to query the family members about other details related to the case as they are in a state of shock,” he said, adding that they are awaiting the postmortem document to determine time of demise.


Investigators said that Patel was on medicine for melancholy for previous 12 months and was getting handled at a health center in the Satellite house of town. He had been abnormal in taking the medications. They added that apart from tobacco, the circle of relatives also owns a pharmaceutical industry. Police nowadays regulations out any foul play.


Investigators said that apart from Patel, 5 other family members are living on the property apart from the provider team of workers.
