MANGALURU: Mangaluru City police have arrested an individual in reference to the dying of 2 hunters in Moodbidri police limits.
The arrested is Shekar, 33, a resident of Aranta Byakaru. Another accused remains to be absconding, said police.
Gratian Rodrigues and Praveen Tauro, who had long gone searching, have been found lifeless. Police suspected that they'd died of electrocution. However, investigations showed that the dying was because of a short lived electric fence, erected to forestall wild animals from entering fields. The sufferers who have been within the wooded area to hunt, came involved with it and died instantly.
Sources reveal that Shekar, while being interrogated, informed police that he along with someone else had placed an electric fence to lure wild animals. However, two people came involved with it and have been electrocuted. However, at the subsequent morning, they discovered the two lifeless ,and hurriedly got rid of the cables. They didn't tell the police, fearing that they is also arrested.
Shekar was produced prior to the court docket and remanded in judicial custody.
