Udhagamandalam: In a unprecedented instance, the heritage Nilgiri Library in Ooty noticed an writer chairing its per 30 days guide club meeting on Saturday. ‘Shifting Sands’, a guide of compilation of 7 novellas authored via Radha Venuprasad, was chosen for discussion. Radha, who released her first guide on the age of 68, took questions from the target audience. According to her, age isn't any bar to grow to be a author.
Shifting Sand was released in July 2017.
Radha, a debutant writer, whilst addressing the guide club contributors of the Nilgiri Library, said, “The guide dwells with relationships no longer only of women and men but among families and friends.”
Born in Kerala, Radha is now settled in Chennai. She has the addiction of scribbling her ideas and ideas. Earlier, she had written, at least, 10 brief tales. “When my family and friends requested me to assemble the tales for newsletter, to my dismay, I found the original manuscript missing. It was a big shock to me. This happened when I used to be in my thirties.”
Ten years ago, Radha who is very go back and forth and studying, re-started her writings and thus the seven novellas had been born. “All the seven tales speak about a shift in life in reference to relationships. One of the tales is set homo-sexual relationships,” she said frankly, including, “One can't be judgmental with regards to relationships. Life should be noticed as we see it. The ultimatum of any courting is happiness”.
When requested why many of the tales had been set towards the backdrop of Kerala’s culture and tradition, Radha said, “They were not intentional. It happened, possibly I am from Kerala.”
“Shifting Sand is a straightforward learn and it doesn’t convey any message but talks broadly about nuances in any courting,” she said.
Talking concerning the characters in her guide, Radha said, “I wouldn’t say my characters have been depicted as sturdy ones, but they are not terrified of to be themselves.”
Presently, Radha is into writing two novels.
