JHANSI: On the day of his retirement, a headmaster allegedly immolated himself in a classroom of a number one college in UP’s Lalitpur district on Saturday night time. In his suicide observe written on the blackboard, Omprakash Pateriya accused five persons, together with village pradhan Mohan Singh, of harassing him for the past six months.
On Saturday night time, a mason working in the college noticed smoke coming out of a classroom and alerted college government. In his suicide observe, Pateriya alleged that his salary had been withheld for the past six months on account of five persons — gram pradhan Mohan Singh, noon meal coordinator Kapil Dubey, president of pupil tracking committee Sohan Singh, and Bunti Raja and Rupesh Kumar Niranjan. Pateriya alleged they had been demanding bribe to factor no objection certificate.
An FIR used to be lodged on Sunday at Talbeth police station towards the five accused beneath Sections 306, 504, 500, 34 of IPC and Section 7/13A of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
DM Lalitpur Manvendra Singh mentioned the gram pradhan has been arrested while Dubey’s noon meal contract has been suspended. Circle officer, Talbeth, Arun Singh mentioned the other 4 accused are absconding.
