LUDHIANA: Ten days after an LPG cylinder exploded at a area in Giaspura, some other guy succumbed to burns at a city sanatorium on Sunday.
Thirty-year-old Pawan Kumar was declared dead at Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) at nine.15am. With this, the cylinder blast toll has climbed to 11.
Shattered, his father Uday Bhan mentioned, “The circle of relatives, especially his youngsters, spouse Anju Devi and mom Phulmati, is but to come back to phrases with the painful fact. His three-year-old daughter Hansika and two-month-old son Vansh are too young to grasp anything. He had long past to Ashok Yadav’s area to help the circle of relatives when their gasoline cylinder leak precipitated panic. But the cylinder exploded, leaving him significantly injured.”
The circle of relatives may just not perform Pawan’s last rites, because the post-mortem examination would be conducted on Monday, added Bhan, who works as a labourer in a cycle production corporate.
Pawan, a Giaspura resident and native of Uttar Pradesh, labored as a salesman with a personal corporate.
The April 26 blast had left 34 injured, of which 11 have succumbed to injuries.
The dead come with area owner Ashok Yadav, spouse Sunita, son Raj, neighbours Kamlesh Giri, Rakesh Kumar, Ram Naresh, Shashi, Ashok Kumar, Amarnath and Meena Devi, but even so Pawan Kumar.
Kin seek 5-lakh reduction
The families of those killed within the Giaspura cylinder blast are seeking Rs 5-lakh repayment from the government. They are saying that the explosion claimed the lives in their sole breadwinners. The government had earlier introduced Rs 1 lakh repayment to the following of relations of those killed.
Cylinder catches fireplace, two injured
Two other folks have been injured after an LPG cylinder caught fireplace at a area in New Kundan Puri on Saturday night time. Tilak Puri, 60, the home owner who works at a hosiery manufacturing facility, was cooking when the cylinder caught fireplace. Harjit Singh Bedi, his neighbour, rushed to his help on listening to his cries. But he too was injured. The two have been rushed to a close-by sanatorium. The fireplace gutted a part of the home too.
