Air India flight from Jeddah delayed by 10 hours

MANGALURU: An Air India flight arriving from Saudi Arabia to Mangaluru by way of Mumbai on Friday used to be not on time by means of 10 hours, leaving the passengers in the lurch. The flight used to be ferrying many of us who will probably be balloting in the elections on Saturday, said sources.
According to a supply in Air India, the aircraft used to be scheduled to arrive at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at 5am from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. However, it reached its vacation spot handiest at 3pm.

According to the Air India web page, the connecting flight from Mumbai used to be scheduled to depart the airport at 10.25am and reach the Mangaluru International Airport at 12pm. However, because the passengers from Saudi Arabia reached overdue, they got two choices– either to go back and forth to the Calicut International Airport, Kozhikode, after which take a connecting flight to Mangaluru or take the Mumbai-Mangaluru direct flight, both of which are on Saturday.

The flight from Mumbai is scheduled to depart at 6.50am on Saturday and reach Kozhikode at eight.45am, whilst the direct flight from Mumbai to Mangaluru is scheduled to depart at 10.25am and arrive at 12pm.

A supply said these types of passengers had gone on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia and were coming back to cast their vote.

An MLA candidate alleged that the passengers were deliberately diverted to Kozhikode. “Forty of my votes are stranded in Mumbai,” he said.

Airline sources said the passengers will be able to make it to the polling centres, as they're going to get a couple of hours after touchdown in the town.
