HYDERABAD: State-run Osmania General Hospital (OGH) has over 10 blind spots inside of its campus where now not a unmarried individual ventures after dusk. Every morning, empty alcohol bottles are discovered all over the place the realm. In the absence of right kind tracking and checking by safety guards, miscreants and alcoholics acquire loose entry, junior medical doctors complained.
“Such actions make the campus unsafe for sufferers, particularly ladies, including workforce. Although the protection guards are aware of such ‘vulnerable’ spots, there is absolutely no checking or patrolling at night,” said a lady resident physician.
The proven fact that the sanatorium has multiple entry points, makes it tough to keep an eye on the menace. There are five entry gates that are in large part unguarded, leaving it susceptible to unlawful entries.
However, insiders blame the ‘corrupt’ guards for such unlawful actions in a government sanatorium. “Even if the guards realize that individuals have come within with alcohol or are drinking in a secluded corner, they allow them to continue so. They ask for Rs 10-Rs 20 as bribe after which go about their work as though they saw not anything. They have got used to taking bribes and do not let go of any opportunity,” added the JUDA member.
