Udhagamandalam: A cultural programme organized as part of the continuing summer time festival in Ooty was cancelled on Tuesday due to violence in Tuticorin district. Governor Bhanwarilal Purohit was intended to inaugurate the programme, collectively organized via the state executive and South Zone Cultural Centre.

The number of colours fill our middle with joy.” Agriculture minister R Duraikannu spoke at the instance.


The governor gave away 250 prizes, together with 50 rolling trophies, to winners of the lawn competition.


Seethalakshmi Venugopal, who bagged the rolling cup for the agricultural house lawn, stated, “By receiving a rolling cup, it's encouraging to be stated via the horticulture division.”


The most prestigious Governor’s rolling cup for the ‘Garden of the Year’ was bagged via the Commandant, Defence Service Staff College, Wellington.
