Delhi senior IAS officer transferred

NEW DELHI: Delhi government's fundamental secretary (finance) Sanjeev Nandan Sahai has been transferred and appointed as further secretary in the union ministry of energy. Sahai, a 1986 batch IAS officer, is likely one of the senior maximum officials in Delhi government and his transfer coincidently comes a couple of days after the finance department was the latest casualty of the warfare between the AAP government and the bureaucracy.

It has been learned that CM Arvind Kejriwal is agitated over the alleged prolong at the part of the finance department to publish Delhi government's perspectives at the 15th Finance Commission to Union ministry of house affairs. However, the finance department has said that there is not any prolong on its part. Sources said that the government view has been put forth thru letters to MHA a number of instances and it remains unchanged.

Though Sahai clarified that his transfer is routine, leader of opposition Vijender Gupta issued a press free up to urge L-G Anil Baijal to take vital steps to restore the great well being of governance underneath AAP government because Gupta claimed, there's “unhealthy tussle” between Delhi government and bureaucrats which has gone worse after the alleged attack at the leader secretary.


“My transfer is a part of a routine transfer of bureaucrats. It has no connection with every other reason,” Sahai said. Before the finance department, Sahai has held key assignments in different necessary departments and has also worked as acting leader secretary in the AAP government.


He has been taking part in an active position in the preparation of the budgets of the AAP government.


Sources, on the other hand, said that Sahai used to be “dissatisfied” after the alleged attack on leader secretary Anshu Prakash and used to be observed strolling shoulder to shoulder with Prakash right through protests that adopted the alleged attack. The bureaucrats along other workers have been observing a two-minute silence at paintings every operating day ever since the assault at the CS and the practice continues till now.


Vijender Gupta claimed that as many as 22 senior IAS officials have up to now left the Delhi government ahead of completing their tenure because “the officers aren't keen to paintings with the AAP government.”
