GURUGRAM: The district management has modified the timings of all government schools seeing the continual heat wave in the town. All government schools will close through 1.30 pm from May 25. The town sizzled at 44 degrees on Wednesday.
A circular which came from the district management office said, “Looking into prevailing heat wave, Deputy Commissioner Gurugram Vinay Pratap Singh has modified the timings of all government schools in district Gurugram. As per orders of DC, the timings in all govt schools in district Gurugram will likely be from eight AM to at least one.30 PM from 25 May onwards until summer season holidays begin, that is, 1st June.”
According to climate analysts, the next respite from excessive heat is most likely best towards the end of May. Interestingly, summer season holidays in most of the non-public schools in the town has already started.
