Mumbai: Woman falls off train, passengers rescue

MUMBAI: A mom of three, who helped her youngsters get right into a Central Railway local but fell off because the educate started to transport, used to be helped to protection by way of two alert co-passengers. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) later discovered her youngsters and reunited the circle of relatives.

The incident took place at the busy Kurla station around 11.30am on Wednesday. Nigah Dhamaskar, a Bandra East resident, used to be headed to Nahur along with her three underage youngsters. Dhamaskar and her youngsters reached Kurla's platform no. 1 to board a 11.29am sluggish educate to Thane. Dhamaskar waited at the platform as her youngsters got into the women compartment. But earlier than she could get in, the educate started to transport.


CCTVs at the platform captured a burkha-clad Dhamaskar working alongside the shifting educate and trying to soar into the trainer. But she wasnt ready to get in and got dragged for a few seconds. Two alert male passengers, strolling at the platform, rushed forward and pulled her clear of the speeding educate. But Dhamaskar used to be in tears as she feared losing her youngsters.


A 3 member RPF team reached the platform on hearing the commotion. They introduced Dhamaskar to their outpost and calmed her down. On learning about her youngsters, they known as up their counterparts at Vidyavihar station. The Vidyavihar RPF team entered the women trainer and got Dhamaskar's youngsters out when the educate halted at Vidyavihar.


The youngsters were then escorted to the Kurla RPF outpost where their mom used to be waiting to peer them. "She was relieved on seeing them safe and unhurt and thanked the RPF," an officer said.
