Karnataka: Groom arrested from marriage hall

MULKY (MANGALURU): A groom, who had hidden his first marriage and was about to tie the knot a 2nd time, was arrested from the marriage corridor simply prior to the marriage.

The groom, who is from Madhya close to Suratkal, Mangaluru, was about to marry a girl from Padubidri in Bappanadu on Monday.

As the bride's relatives waited for groom, when he finally arrived, some policemen also came with participants of Jaya Karnataka, a neighborhood organisation.

After the groom's wife were given to know of the impending marriage, she lodged a complaint with the women police of Udupi. Hence the police stopped the marriage.

As in line with his wife, they were married for two years. The closing time when she spoke to her husband, he lied that he was out of country.


Since she she knew the person's intention per week back and her efforts to reach out to the bride's circle of relatives failed, she came without delay to the marriage corridor.


The bride's circle of relatives had a sigh of aid and thanked the God. While the relatives had the lunch, they went upset.


While the law enforcement officials took away the accused, his family members agreed to pay for the expense incurred by way of the bride's circle of relatives.
