LUDHIANA: In a bid to develop the parking zones within the city for the implementation of the new parking coverage, the civic officials have kicked off a survey. The officials will in finding out via this survey as to where new parking zones can be established. Much hue and cry used to be raised when the notification of this coverage used to be issued over the imposition of fees for parking of automobiles even within the residential spaces.
The MC has to put in force this coverage via August 31 and they'll establish a park control wing to mend the fees and stay a check on the motion of the service provider (parking contractors). In this coverage it used to be mentioned that citizens who will park their automobiles on streets in residential spaces will also must shell out cash. The MC will issue the permits to the homeowners for 365 days at nominal price. However the officials claimed that they are going to stay residential spaces in free parking zones.
The superintendent of MC Harvinder Dhalla said the town needs to be advanced into a couple of parking zones so groups from Tehbazaari wing of MC has been advised to identify such zones. He said once the zones will known they'll send it for the approval from town planning wing and get them notified. He said coverage is aimed at curtailing the illegal and haphazard parking on highway.
