Boundaries of wards are redrawn based on the 74th amendment of the Constitution, which stipulates trade in reservation and changing the contours of wards, to ensure even distribution of inhabitants. Accordingly, the government concerned took up the duty of redrawing limitations of the local wards underneath MCC.

The drawback is that, inhabitants in some wards is not up to 5,000, while a couple of others boast a demographic in excess of 20,000. Yaraganahalli (Ward no. 56) has a inhabitants of 23,000. My ward has been divided, and disbursed to different wards, and the title has been removed from the checklist. Division of the wards has been executed with out public session, which is in violation of the regulation,” mentioned Lingappa.
