Meat samples collected from Salt Lake eateries

KOLKATA: Continuing with raids at restaurants and eateries in Salt Lake to appear into the standard of food and collect meat samples, health officials from the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation inspected 3 widespread food joints and restaurants as regards to City Centre mall.
The civic authorities amassed saved meat samples from the food joints.

The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and Dum Dum municipality started engaging in inspections at a number of eateries and restaurants in several portions of Salt Lake, Rajarhat and Dum Dum from second week of May to assemble samples of saved meat.


Civic officials mentioned that they have got started the inspection following directions by the state government.


Chicken and mutton samples which might be saved and refrigerated for over a week at other eateries and restaurants are being amassed.


“We have already sent the samples to the state government’s food safety laboratory for exams,” mentioned Bidhannagar Corporation MMIC (Health) Pranay Roy mentioned.


Civic officials mentioned that strong motion can be taken in opposition to the eateries and restaurants if any of the amassed samples are found to be poor in high quality.
