Patiala: 4 of a family killed, 3 injured after car rams into tree

PATIALA: Four contributors of a family, together with two kids have been killed while 3 others sustained severe injuries when the auto they have been travelling rammed into a tree on Patiala-Sirhind road in Fatehgarh Sahib district on Tuesday.
The coincidence happened close to Rorkee village round three.30pm.

The police claimed that family was returning after attending a family function and it's suspected that driver dozed off while riding and lost keep watch over of the car.

The deceased were identified as Sunil Kumar (35), Sonia (28), and their two daughters Diya (6) and eight-months-old Mansi. The police added that ambulances have been rushed to the spot and the injured have been have been taken to close by hospital.

“The four of the family members died on the spot because the dashing automobile caught with the tree and was totally beaten. The injured have been taken to close by hospital from the place they have been referred for upper institute and now are admitted at executive hospital in Chandigarh.

"The case under section 174 CrPC has been registered for further proceedings and the our bodies were passed over to the family after post-mortem”, said a police legit.
