LUDHIANA: Haibowal police has booked a person for rape of a nine-year-old whilst they were dozing at the roof of their area. The accused is 23-year-old who works as labourer and initially belongs to Bihar.
In his police criticism, father of the victim, who works as mason, said that on May 28, he together with his members of the family were dozing at the roof of the home. He added that the accused who lived in the similar development was additionally dozing on the same position.
Father of the nine-year-old victim said that at around 7am he and his members of the family got here all the way down to their room from roof leaving at the back of his daughter at roof as she was dozing. He added that later as they heard hue and cry coming from roof, they rushed there and found their neighbor staring on the accused.
The complainant said that his daughter was sitting on an aspect and was in a state of outrage. He added that because the accused noticed them, he ran away from the spot.
Victim’s father said that as they requested his daughter about the reason for her disappointment, she divulged that the accused raped her when they went down. He added that later they knowledgeable police.
On being knowledgeable, cops from Haibowal police station reached the complainant and began probe into the topic.
Police has meanwhile booked the accused underneath segment 376 of IPC (Rape) and sections of protection of children from Sexual Offences Act.
Investigating officer of the case, Sub Inspector Satbir Singh said that the accused is at the run and has not been arrested at the same time as they carried out raids on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning in Haibowal area.
