GURUGRAM: Power transmission company Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) has filed a police criticism in opposition to MCG for allegedly destructive its cables whilst the company used to be endeavor digging paintings to lay water pipelines. According to HPVNL, the damage happened on May 18, affecting supply from its 66kV sub-station in Sector 4.
An HVPNL professional advised TOI they incurred losses to the music of Rs 20 lakh owing to the digging. “The line in most cases strikes in two circuits. Each circuit has 4 cables. MCG damaged only two of them, so we have been able to restore the machine temporarily. Had one more cable been damaged, we’d have suffered a significant breakdown, at once affecting 50,000 subscribers,” a HVPNL professional said.
Officials said the cables have been damaged one after any other. “They damaged one cable on May 18. Another one used to be damaged tomorrow,” the professional said. “We filed a police criticism on May 18 itself, on the basis of which an FIR used to be registered the similar day in opposition to MCG at Sector 4 police station. We haven’t discussed the subject with MCG yet, however we registered the criticism in order that such incidents don’t happen once more.”
As a results of the damage, energy supply used to be disrupted for about 5 hours in Sector 4 and adjacent areas.
TOI tried to contact several MCG officers, none of whom could immediately remark on the issue. MCG commissioner Yashpal Yadav said he used to be unaware of the issue. “I’ve no thought about this. I’ll get it checked,” he said.
