MANGALURU: Congress leader and close aide of minister B Ramanath Rai, K Sanjeeva Poojary’s wife and four birthday celebration employees were brutally attacked allegedly via BJP activists here on Thursday overdue night time.
Sanjeeva is a president of Bantwal constituency election marketing campaign committee of Congress. The incident took place near Marnabail in Melkar when the miscreants entered Poojary's space and attacked his wife and four birthday celebration employees. Poojary’s wife and four others are being handled at a personal health center in Thumbay.
Police said that incident took place around 12.30am, when Sanjeeva was once returning in his car in conjunction with 4 other birthday celebration employees after daylong marketing campaign. Workers left Poojary at his space, when they took flip to return to their house, all of sudden a BJP employees team led via one Srikanth Shetty in conjunction with others began attacking Congress employees with stones. They hit the auto with large stones and broken it. Police additionally added that BJP leader was once carrying a gun and threatened Congress employees. However, Congress employees, who were injured within the assault managed to flee from the spot. Afterwhich BJP employees became against Poojary’s space. In the melee, when wife of Poojary came to rescue her husband, she was once attacked via team, police said.
Reacting to attacks via rivals on his shut assist, Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai reacted that is because of ‘hate politics’. “I am unhappy because of this assault on our works and my good friend.
