NOIDA: A 30-year outdated criminal wanted in 27 instances was arrested after a shootout with Dadri police on Wednesday night. The accused has been known as Surjeet alias Chintu, a resident of Muradnagar in Ghaziabad.
Shahvez Khan, station officer of Dadri police station, stated police had won a tip-off about two criminals’ motion within the house. “We deployed a police staff near Rupwas roundabout at night. Two males got here on a motorbike. The police staff signalled them to stop for checking but they attempted to flee after opening hearth at the police staff,” he stated.
Police opened retaliatory photographs during which Surjeet was hit in his right leg and fell off the motorcycle. The police staff instantly apprehended the accused. However, his associate, Chand, managed to flee. The accused was then taken to the district health facility for clinical treatment.
Khan stated Surjeet was wanted in 27 instances of loot, robbery, try to murder among others in NCR region. Police have seized a stolen motorcycle, a country-made gun and two live cartridges from his possession.
