ALLAHABAD: The town reported the best possible choice of auto robbery cases among all districts falling beneath the Allahabad zone with a complete of 615 auto-lifting cases being reported between January 1 and April 30, 2018.
As many as 931 auto-lifting cases have been registered in police information within the districts comprising the Allahabad zone, between January 1 and April 30, 2018.
As according to the knowledge launched via the district police on Wednesday, 4 to five cases of auto-lifting have been reported within the town on a daily basis, on an average, between the period.
Allahabad zone contains eight districts—Allahabad, Patapgarh, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba and Chitrakoot.
The hire choice of auto robbery cases have been reported from Mahoba—12—between January 1 and April 30, 2018.
At 150 cases, Pratapgarh registered the second best possible choice of auto thefts, whilst Fatehpur and Kaushambi registered 45 and 44 cases respectively.
In the four-month period, Banda, Hamirpur and Chitrakoot registered 32, 14 and 19 cases of auto thefts respectively.
IG (Allahabad vary) Ramit Sharma directed police officials to chalk out an efficient plan to tighten the noose round gangs eager about auto-lifting.
“The police has started focussing on inter-district and inter-state gangs. The police got here to know about their involvement following the arrest of some auto-lifters,” stated a criminal offense department official on situation of anonymity.
“The police also are going during the statements of 3 arrested auto-lifters, who divulged that auto-lifters shuttle from the neighbouring district come to Allahabad within the morning and flee with the stolen motorcycles within the night,” the official added.
As according to police data, smaller districts of Allahabad zone—Chitrakoot (19), Mahoba (12), Hamirpur (14), and Kaushambi (44)—have reported fewer choice of auto thefts when compared to higher districts like Allahabad (615), Fatehpur (45) and Pratapgarh (150).
Moreover, more cases of auto lifting have been registered in Colonelganj, Civil Lines, and Kydganj circles compared to other city pockets as a result of more numbers of training institutes, marriage pandals, marketplace complex, hospitals and other industry establishments.
