AHMEDABAD: For nearly three months, in spite of repeated warnings from the irrigation division, 1000's of holiday makers were thronging the Sant Sarovar barrage to revel in a dash. Irrigation infrastructure, including barrages, aren't open to public.
Yet many managed to climb the sluice gates of Sant Sarovar barrage and took selfies. Two days ago, the inevitable tragedy befell.
Gandhinagar Fire and Emergency Services (GFES) on Monday evening fished out from Sant Sarovar, close to Indroda Park, the our bodies of Vishal Trivedi, 20, and Kanu Dhuliya, 35. They had been residents of Sardarnagar. The duo used to be reported missing on Monday night. Their staff had visited the barrage.
