AHMEDABAD: A 19-year-old girl from a village near Nani Devti lodged an FIR with Satellite police towards her stepfather for rape and her mom for abetting the crime. The accused were arrested via Satellite police on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a grievance via Dina Solanki (name modified), resident of a village near Sanand, she lives with her father and two brothers.
Two years ago, her mom had started living with a person, a resident of Rajivnagar near Satellite. The incident came about after a big altercation between her parents.
“She has mentioned in the grievance that she used to seek advice from her mom steadily. During that time, Ramesh, the accused, had started touching her inappropriately. When she raised the issue with her mom, she allegedly stated that it was some way for her stepfather to precise love and requested her not to mind it. In Diwali holiday of 2017, she had long past to are living with her mom for a couple of days. At that time, Ramesh raped her,” stated an investigator.
When she brought the issue to her mom, she allegedly told her that she would attempt to save you further incidents but she cannot take any steps as she had left her ‘poor’ husband to be with Ramesh and didn't wish to jeopardize the prospect of new lifestyles. After the incident, Ramesh allegedly raped her on several events. Dina were given afraid when she started experiencing frequent stomach aches for which she used to take drugs.
“In February, when she could now not undergo the ache to any extent further, she approached a public health centre where she was identified pregnant. When she told her mom about it, she requested her to come back to Ahmedabad from Sanand as she would help in abortion. She alternatively was afraid because of previous reports and selected to stay with her father as a substitute,” stated the professional.
On April 29, she was visiting her maternal uncle when she felt unease. As she started bleeding, her maternal grandmother instantly took her to the VS Hospital. There, she gave delivery to a premature baby who died quickly afterwards.
“We arrested Ramesh and the survivor’s mom and despatched Ramesh for medical examination on Tuesday. The girl has underwent DNA check earlier. The probe is on to establish whether the lady was minor when the rapes came about. If that’s the case, sections of POCSO would also be implemented,” stated a Satellite police professional.
