HYDERABAD: Specially-minted gold-coated coins with leader minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's portrait and TRS birthday celebration's poll symbol of vehicle were unveiled not too long ago. Telangana NRIs, who again the ruling TRS, got those coins made by way of specialist craftsmen.
KCR met the NRIs at Pragathi Bhavan on April 28, a day after the birthday celebration's 17th plenary, and unveiled those specially-minted coins.

The concept of getting coins of the executive minister was once the brainchild of C Chandrashekar Goud of the United Kingdom.
The NRI representatives said they wanted to "showcase their respect and love" for KCR and that is the reason how the coin concept came about.
"We wanted to do something that should be remembered. The coins were created by specialist craftsmen who work on coin minting. It took eight weeks to draw the minute details which were embossed on the coins with gold coating," the NRIs said in a word. KCR is learnt to have preferred their efforts.
