Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Rifle Club will habits a summer season camp for youngsters (above 12-year-old) from May 13 to May 20. The charge might be Rs three,000. Participants might be trained in the usage of rifles and pistols.
The camp will also be a venue to identify ability, police commissioner Ok Periaiah, who is also the president of the club, informed TOI. “We will in finding gifted kids and train them on the club for national-level capturing championships. They gets 10 metre rifle training in the first section of coaching,” he stated.
Those selected will undergo training between 7am and 12.30pm. After the camp is over, those who wish to pursue the interest, can sign up for the club as student individuals and can get training the use of air rifles, air pistols, .22 rifles, .22 pistols and other types of guns. The training will equip them able to participating in the state, nationwide and international championships.
Club individuals Nivedha and N Gayathri are already participating in international events. Nivedha has left for Germany to participate in a capturing championship. Gayathri is currently participating in a championship in South Korea. Six women from the club are participating in national-level events.

The club is offering club in two categories – lifetime and student club. Those above 12 can sign up for as student individuals and can continue the club till they complete under-graduation. It costs Rs 2.five lakh to develop into an entire life member.
