Up to 80% subsidy on harvesters

GURUGRAM: The district management has introduced as much as 80% subsidy on harvesting machines as a part of its efforts to test stubble burning, regarded as to be some of the main contributing components behind top pollution ranges within the region especially throughout winters.
The management has additionally planned a chain of consciousness camps — from May 25 to June 15 — to teach farmers about quite a lot of harvesters available available in the market and subsidies presented by the government.

On Tuesday, whilst saying the advantages, deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh appealed to farmers to switch to mechanized harvesters — these machines chop off crops from roots, leaving behind smaller stubble.

“The government goes to organise consciousness camps for paddy farmers from May 25 to June 15. Farmers who are all for purchasing sponsored machines should fill in a kind by June 30. State officers will supply the machines by September 30,” said Singh.


Officials said around 50% subsidy was being presented on machines like super straw management device, paddy straw chopper shredder, shrub grasp, reversible MB plough, rotary slasher, zero until seed drill and so on. Also, as much as 80% subsidy was available on some harvesters, they added.


They said costs of such machines ranged from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 75 lakh, which might be bought jointly by a bunch of farmers too.


Also, Farmer Produce Organisation will set up around 900 centres across the state to offer such machines on hire. Last 12 months, 420 such centres were set up.
