NEW DELHI: Come December, and you'll be able to fly from Delhi to US and again for as low as Rs 27,000. Iceland's low price carrier WOW Air on Tuesday announced it's going to launch flights from Delhi to its hub Reykjavik from December 7.
The LCC's founder and CEO, Skuli Mogensen, mentioned launch one-way fares for flights from Delhi to Reykjavik and beyond to US destinations like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles might be Rs 13,499 (all-inclusive) for fundamental financial system. Meals, check-in bags and seat selection might be charged seperately, if one wants to go for them.
"In the basic fare, we offer a seat and a small carry-on like a laptop bag. We are targetting the smart traveller," Mogensen mentioned. The airline gives seating choices, starting from fundamental financial system to top rate. WOW's Delhi-Reykjavik would be the first long haul low price course out and in of India.
"We are staying with five flights a week between Delhi and Reykjavik in December. I hope it becomes a daily soon. We will be flying to more Indian cities," the CEO mentioned.
WOW Air, which might be flying A-330 Neo to India, these days serves 39 destinations across Europe and North America including Chicago, Toronto, London and Paris.
