3 shootouts in Greater Noida, 5 gangsters held

NOIDA: Five criminals, together with one focused on a burglary at an IAS officer’s area, had been arrested after three separate encounters in Greater Noida on Thursday night and on Friday. The encounters happened in Kasna, Surajpur and Dadri.

Police said Jitendra Pardi (25), a resident of Guna in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested from Nat-ki-Madaiya village in Kasna after a shootout on Friday night. He was focused on a burglary at Sector Gama 1 place of dwelling of Vibha Chahal, an IAS officer posted with Greater Noida Authority. He and his associate fled with Rs 5,000 money and jewellery value Rs 7 lakh from the officer’s area on May 15, 2017, when the members of the family had been asleep. He was additionally focused on several cases of robbery and burglary in Noida and Greater Noida previously two years.

“The robber was driving a stolen bike and accomplishing a recce to commit crimes after we intercepted him. Police signalled him to prevent for checking. But he tried to speed away after opening fireplace at the team. Police chased him and returned the fireplace during which the accused gained a bullet harm on his leg and he fell to the bottom,” said Shailendra Pratap Singh, SHO, Kasna police station.

In the second one case, three contributors of Sunder Bhati gang had been arrested after an encounter in Dadri area on Thursday night. They had been known as Nitin, a resident of Hapur, and Vikas and Virendra, residents of Dadri. Nitin had shot useless a liquor salesman in Surajpur ultimate year and he was sought after since then. The salesman, Devendra Kumar, belonging to Bulandshahr, was shot through Nitin and his accomplices in Tilapta area in Surajpur in June 2017.

In but any other case, a 35-year-old criminal was arrested after a shootout in Surajpur area on Thursday night. He has been known as Gajendra alias Fauji, a resident of Binoli village in Baghpat.


Pankaj Rai, SHO, Surajpur police station, said the accused was arrested close to Makoda roundabout after a shootout. “A police team was deployed to check the suspects. The two came on a bike and so they had been signalled to prevent for checking. The criminals opened fireplace at police team and tried to speed away,” Rai said. “In crossfiring, Gajendra gained a bullet harm in his right leg and fell on floor,” Rai added.


On July 27, 2017, Gajendra along side his associate Mohan abducted a teenage boy for ransom from Noida Phase III.
