LUDHIANA: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) on Friday shaped an export promotion committee comprising 50 members to resolve the export problems confronted by exporters. Speaking on the occasion, Upkar Singh Ahuja, president of CICU, said, the target to form export promotion committee is to promote exports and glance into the problems with director common of overseas business (DGFT), ministry of external affairs, customs division, excise and taxation. Apart from this, the committee will also be sure that the participation of businessmen in overseas exhibitions for export promotion and different export-related activities.

Ahuja additionally said CICU will in a while grasp a meeting with consumers, DGFT, banks and different export departments to resolve the problems being confronted by the exporters. During the assembly organised nowadays by CICU, quite a lot of issues basically relating to exports had been discussed intimately and Ram Lubhaya used to be nominated as convener and Sarvjit Singh used to be nominated as co-convener of the newly-formed export promotion committee.
