AHMEDABAD: A businessman, C P Jain, has been fighting for parking zone for his automotive. In 2010, when Jain and his circle of relatives moved right into a residential society in Shahibaug, he discovered the entire parking zone occupied through automobiles, leaving no area for his. On September 14, 2014, assistant municipal commissioner R M Desai requested the workplace of DCP Zone four to look into the matter. The case promptly went to Shahibaug police, which filed two stories claiming that there used to be “no evidence of sale of parking zone and that area used to be allotted through the society”. The district registrar of co-operatives ruled that Jain’s society used to be meant for facilitation and used to be now not authorised to promote belongings. They requested Jain to approach Shahibaug police to investigate the matter again in January 2017. Five months later, AMC’s deputy property officer requested Jain to approach Shahibaug police
“I've a testimony from a society member, Dharmendra Shah, claiming that the chairman had demanded Rs 35,000 in cash from him and Rs 1,000 through cheque, to be allotted parking zone,” says Jain.
