Anant Kumar Hegde calls intellectuals ‘sold-out’

BENGALURU: Union minister Anant Kumar Hedge once more introduced a scathing attack on secular intellectuals terming them ‘foolish’ and ‘sold-out’.

Speaking at the release of Kannada version of Vinayak Savarkar’s book Hidutva on Sunday, Hegde reiterated his definition of a mundane individuals as one who does now not know his oldsters.


“The so-called intellectuals are the embodiment of foolishness. They don’t understand no matter we communicate concerning the greatness of Hindutva, as a result of they've bought their mind,” he stated in his deal with after liberating the book translated into Kannada through G B Harish.


Turning his ire on media, the minister stated it has been the addiction of the media to criticise him which to he had were given used to.

Seeking to highlight the greatness of Hindu faith, he stated Hindus worship mythological figures like Rama and Krishna albeit they are not Brahmins. “Not simply that, we worship Ganesha who has been born out of the dust produced through someone’s sweat. This is the greatness of the Hindu relegion which the secular intellectuals can never understand,” he added.
