Eid Mubarak: Devout throng mosques to offer namaz

HYDERABAD: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with spiritual fervour and gaiety on Saturday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramzan, because the crescent moon was sighted on June 15 night time.

Eid in Arabic way “joyful celebration” or “celebration” whilst Fitr way “to damage the quick”. The pageant is widely known at the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of Islamic lunar calendar, marked by feasts, as families, family members, and friends get together to interchange greetings and items.

Eid prayers had been offered in large numbers at mosques and idgahs around the city. Major congregations had been seen at the historic Mir Alam Idgah, Madannapet Idgah, Secunderabad Balamrai Idgah, Golconda, Pahadishareef Masab Tank and Shaheen Nager Markez, and at the historic Mecca Mecca Masjid as neatly. Elaborate security arrangements and traffic restrictions had been in place, by Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police on busy routes.


Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali conveyed his greetings to the state. “Caring for the poor and orphans is likely one of the primary principals of Islam. Respecting the tradition, our chief minister Ok Chandrashekhar Rao arranged Iftar in 800 mosques to feed poor Muslims,” he added.


Municipal and information technology minister KT Rama Rao individually met with Mahmood Ali and his family to put across his greetings.


Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP, Mohammed Saleem Wakf Board chairman and MLC, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri MLA Charminar and other eminent individuals offered Eid prayers at the Mir Alam Idgah.


While addressing the collection at the Mir Alam Idgah, Moulana Jaffer Pasha Aqil Sani suggested the Muslim neighborhood to stay away from social evils and continue the Ramzan spirit of good deeds and charity in other months additionally.
