AHMEDABAD: An Indian Army jawan, operating in artillery, has been accused by means of his pregnant wife of thrashing her significantly and locking her inside their residence in Ranip over a trivial factor of storing water. Anita Chaudhary, 27, states within the FIR she registered on Sunday that she is into her sixth month of pregnancy, and located it tough to do heavy family work. But when she pleaded of her inablity to hold and store water, her husband thrashed her significantly. Anita works as a Lok Rakshak Dal jawan in Madhavpura police station.
“I used to be married to Rajesh Shubesingh Chaudhary, 23, of village Bhir of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, two years in the past. My husband has been operating with the Indian Army artillery-247 battalion for 5 years and he has been posted to Guwahati at present,” reads the FIR.
She stated further within the FIR, “On May 27, after I asked him to store water, as I used to be having serious abdomen ache, being six months pregnant, he began abusing me. When I adverse, he began slapping and punching me. He also threatened to kill me, and later he locked me inside the house and went away someplace.”
The lady then referred to as up her husband’s father, who opened the lock and launched her. She used to be later given treatment at Civil Hospital for her accidents. The lady on Sunday approached Ranip police station to record the criticism after her father, Madanlal Soni, rushed to the town from their native village of Goth in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan.
Ranip police booked Rajesh below IPC sections 294(b) (uttering obscene phrases), 323 (voluntarily causing harm) and 506(2) (criminal intimidation), said police inspector J P Patel, including that the accused is on the run.
