GUWAHATI: Prime accused in the lynching of 2 Guwahati youths sound engineer Nilotpal (29) and his businessman pal Abhijit (30) in a far off village in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on June eight, Alphajoz Timung alias Alpha, who used to be nabbed by way of police on past due Tuesday evening tells police how the barbaric act used to be a spur-of-the-moment decision.

When the duo reached Panjuri, a group of boys in drunken state stopped the car, pulled them out and started beating them up. Soon Timung and his friends following in the back of reached the spot and joined in the barbaric act. For a couple of hour they carried out their assault on Nilotpal and Abhijit.
When police from Dokomoka police station arrived on the spot about two hours later, they found the youths in a major condition. The police in an instant shifted them to an ambulance however both died on manner.
Two years back, Timung used to be concerned with a identical lynching of a 23-year-old bike mechanic, Mithu Das, at Dengaon in the same district. Das used to be crushed to death by way of a mob of over 50 in front of three policemen.
The mob accused Das of raping a tribal lady. The criminals even put salt on Das’s wounds. He later succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
