The railways has prolonged the Solapur-Yesjwantpur Express to Hassan, effective from June 13. Travellers from the region say the educate will most effective be a ‘namesake’ from Wednesday as they fear that seats to Bengaluru might be lower significantly because of the extension of the educate to Hassan.
The railways has determined to extend the run of educate quantity 22133/22134 Solapur - Yesvantpur - Solapur Express (Daily) as much as Hassan with a brand new educate quantity 11311/11312 Solapur - Hassan - Solapur Express (Daily).
Hyderabad Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry former president Umakanth Nigudgi informed TOI that though Udyan Express, Basava Express, Nagarcoil Express and Karnataka Express run via Kalaburagi to Bengaluru, the Solapur-Yeshwantpur Express is more convenient as it departs Kalaburagi at nine.05pm hours and arrives in Yeshwantpur at 7.10am the following day. From Yeshwantpur it departs at 8:50pm and arrives in Kalaburagi at 6:25am which is also convenient,” he stated.
“The schedule of some trains isn't convenient as they arrive and go away in the dark or at some other time. Now, the only educate which was convenient might not be convenient anymore as more seats might be blocked via Hassan passengers,” added Nigudgi.
Activists say that if passengers from Hassan guide tickets to any of the halt stations, together with Mantralayam, Kalaburagi passengers might be disadvantaged of seats to Bengaluru or to Kalaburagi from Bengaluru as the seats might be blocked.
However, South Western Railway deputy general manager E Vijaya stated that there might not be any trade in the availability of seats for Kalaburagi passengers. “The educate has most effective been prolonged. Hence, there's no fear of dropping seats to Bengaluru from Kalaburagi,” she stated.
