Cops book 7 persons in 2 cases of immigration fraud

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana police have booked seven individuals in two cases of immigration fraud. In the primary case, Division No.7 police — on the grievance of Hardeep Singh (28) of Salar in Malerkotla — booked the director of an immigration corporate, Nitin Ghai, manager Sonu Sood, and assistant manager Madam Preet in the MD Complex at Samrala Chowk. The case was registered after an investigation into the grievance.

In his police grievance, Hardeep mentioned the accused took cash and passport from him to send him abroad however neither did they send him abroad now not returned the money. Investigating officer, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sukhwinder Singh mentioned Hardeep had claimed that the accused took lakhs of rupees from him to send him abroad, adding that the accused have been yet to be arrested.


In the second one an identical case, on the grievance of Kashmir Singh (50) of Mundiyan Kalan, police booked Gurmej Singh, Angrez Singh, and Gajan Singh (all from Sainsaran Kalan), and Gurdev Singh of Amritsar for immigration fraud. Kashmir had submitted an utility to the police on 30 December remaining 12 months, after an enquiry was registered into the matter.


In his grievance, Kashmir mentioned the accused individuals first took Rs5 lakh, and then Rs50,000 from him to send his son to Dubai, however they did not keep their phrase.
