Coimbatore: Admission for undergraduate arts and science lessons at the Government Arts College in the town started on Wednesday with counselling for special quota students. Students who come beneath sports activities quota, NCC quota, children of ex-servicemen and disabled students attended the counselling.
An official from the school said there are 42 seats beneath sports activities quota, one seat beneath NCC quota, six seats beneath ex-servicemen quota and 68 seats beneath disabled students’ quota. “We have gained a minimum of 200 programs for seats beneath sports activities quota. Under different quotas too, we now have gained programs virtually 5 occasions the choice of seats,” said a college official.
In the special quota counselling, BCom had the best call for, he said. The faculty conducts a single window counselling for undergraduate arts and science lessons. This year the school had gained round 7,100 programs for 1,409 seats across the lessons, said faculty officials. The general counselling would start on Thursday and pass on until June 19.
