Missing for six days, 75-year-old diabetic patient found dead

CHANDIGARH: A 75-year-old diabetic affected person, who had gone missing from his clinic bed six days in the past, was discovered lifeless at the rear of the Bhiwani civil surgeon’s place of business on Wednesday. Police have showed the incident.

A member of the team of workers had gone to check the source of ‘foul smell’ from the civil surgeon place of business’s backyard when he spotted the body mauled by means of stray canines. He knowledgeable the authorities and the police who began a probe into the incident.

According to knowledge, the deceased identified as Sheotaj Singh, a resident of Goriya village of Jhajjar district, was admitted to the Bansi Lal Memorial civil clinic at Bhiwani. On May 31, he had gone missing from the clinic bed and his family members had lodged a grievance with the local police.


“Soon once you have the grievance, we had lodged a case at Bhiwani City police station. As the individual was discovered lifeless, now we have initiated the inquest lawsuits and his body has been despatched to PGIMS, Rohtak, for the forensic postmortem. We are looking forward to the statements of the family sooner than continuing further,” said Bhiwani superintendent of police (SP) G R Punia.


According to knowledge, Sheotaj was admitted to the clinic on May 28. On May 30, he had left the bed for a stroll after having his meal and have been missing since.


Bhiwani civil surgeon Adiya Gupta was not out there for comments. His subordinates blamed the incident on deficient surveillance by means of the contractual safety team of workers.
