Cut down on expenditure: K'taka CM to officials

BENGALURU: Embarking on an austerity pressure,days after the JDS-Congress govt announced waiver of loans taken by way of farmers, Karnataka leader minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday requested officials to cut back extraneous bills.

"He (chief minister) has instructed the officials to cut down on unnecessary expenditure, if any, in the state administration," mentioned a commentary from the executive ministers place of job in Bengaluru.


Kumaraswamy also instructed the officials to check proposals on purchasing new automobiles and discourage renovation of government places of work and residences.


The leader minister had on May 30 mentioned saving farmers is his govt's precedence and promised to honour his pre-poll assurance to waive farm loans inside of 15 days of coming to energy.
