NEW DELHI: The Delhi govt on Monday approved a suggestion for buying an extra 500 low ground buses for the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
Transport minister Kailash Gahlot took the decision while chairing the Board assembly of the DTC on Monday.
The Board additionally agreed to extension of pupil concessional bus move facilities to all bonafide institutes inside Delhi extending the convenience to the scholars of tutorial establishments set-up after 2002.
The Board resolved on de-freezing the pension benefits -- that incorporates enhancement of DA after July 2014, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 500 per 30 days in keeping with pensioner after November 2014, extension of the advantages because of fixation and age factor and revision of pension based on the advice of the seventh Central Pay Commission from January 2016.
This will benefit greater than 16,000 pensioners/family pensioners at a cost of Rs 232 crore.
Of the 500 buses, 80 in keeping with cent can be non- AC and 20 in keeping with cent can be AC buses.
