KANPUR: An aged couple was found brutally murdered at their space in Sarsaul village underneath the limits of Maharajpur police station, in Kanpur early Sunday morning.
Raghunath Singh (65) and his wife Lalita (62) had been drowsing on separate cots in front in their space when they had been hacked to dying. A case has been registered at Maharajpur police station.
Police assets stated the couple owed several 'bighas' of agricultural land and had a dispute with their nephews Dharmendra and Suraj over the land. On Saturday, their nephews visited them and argued with them about their claim over the ancestral belongings. "We suspect a property related disputeto be the motive behind the gruesome killings," stated SSP Akhilesh Kumar Meena.
