OTTAWA: Group of Seven leaders will pressure US President Donald Trump at a summit this week on tariffs he has imposed on metals imports but will have to stay civil as they try to steer him to modify his mind, French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned on Wednesday.
Macron, chatting with reporters after talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, mentioned the United States was an best friend that the rest of the G7 needed. Tensions over business are threatening to overshadow the June 8-Nine summit.
