Following which, the BBMP lowered the licensing cost to Rs 110, and it's been licensed through the government.
As per the brand new laws, if the house owners don’t get license for pets, the BBMP will positive Rs 1,000 and if the landlord fails to pay the penalty, the BBMP will take away the puppy. However, the landlord may have 72 days to get his puppy released through paying the positive. If the landlord does now not pay the positive, then BBMP will put them at respective puppy centres.
As per the brand new rule, a house will have simplest three pets and one puppy in case of apartments.
According to BBMP, there are simplest about 505 registered pets in all of the 198 wards within the town.
Dr G Anand, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry, BBMP, told BM, “Pet registration within the town has been made obligatory. If puppy rearing takes place with out BBMP’s knowledge, then the landlord might be penalised.”
