Trafficked, raped, girl refuses to accept baby

GURUGRAM: A girl refused to just accept the newborn she delivered at a town medical institution on Thursday, announcing the baby reminded her of the repeated rape and trauma she had suffered since she was trafficked to Gurugram from Gumla (Jharkhand) as a minor in November 2016.

The girl, who labored as a nanny at a area in Sector 31, alleged she was raped a number of times for over a year by a prepare dinner, who additionally labored at her employers’ position. Both the lady and the prepare dinner, Mohit Prasad Thakur (27), lived with their employers.

The girl alleged Thakur would rape her every time he found her on my own or their employers would move out. But, she claimed she saved quiet as Thakur had threatened to tarnish her symbol, which may have value her the process.

Then, the employers reported the subject to police and an FIR was filed below sections 376 (rape) and 506 (legal intimidation) of the IPC at the Women’s police station. Medical examinations were executed, which printed it was too past due to terminate the being pregnant.

Mohit had already long past home to Harraiya, Uttar Pradesh, on depart and never returned. The police are but to arrest him.

On Thursday morning, she delivered a baby girl at General Hospital in Civil Lines. But she has no longer observed the child since then, medical institution officials said.

“She reminds me of what I suffered,” the traumatised mother advised TOI as tears rolled down her cheeks. “I can't take her to my village (in Gumla) as a result of no person will needless to say it was no longer my fault,” she added.

“We are trying to suggest the lady. At the top of the day, she is the mother. Once the child is sent for adoption, there might be no looking again for the newborn or the mother. The sufferer is in trauma presently and we wish to give her a while to come to a decision,” said Rishikant, founder, NGO Shakti Vahini.

Balkrishan Goel, a member of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, said, “If even after the counselling, the survivor refuses to take the child, the newborn might be surrendered for adoption.”

Preliminary probe has printed the lady, at first from Gumla, was brought to Delhi by an agent in November 2016 and later was employed as a nanny at the area in Gurugram. Her folks, who paintings in brick kilns, and younger sister are in Gumla.

The girl has no longer spoken to her folks since she moved to Gurugram as they don’t have a mobile phone. She doesn’t know how her family is now and if they are conscious about her whereabouts.

Police sources said Naraiyan was suspected to be the primary trafficker. He used to run Bharti Maid Bureau in Delhi’s Shakurpur area previous and was wanted by police since 2013. The girl was, however, brought to Delhi by Deepak from Devi Placement Service in Pitam Pura. The police are investigating if Deepak was an aide of Naraiyan.


The girl’s ordeal started Five-6 months after she started residing with the employers.


“Mohit were running at our area since 2013. He would sleep on the second flooring and she or he would sleep at the floor flooring with us. He used to rape her after we were all out. We reported the subject to the police once we got to find out about it and feature been looking after her ever since,” Sapna advised TOI.


Shockingly, the cops didn't file the subject to the child welfare committee even if the lady was claimed to be a minor, at least at the time when she was raped for the primary time.
