RAJKOT: An offended woman bludgeoned her husband to demise with an iron pestle after having a fight with him over the extend in serving food in Raningpar village of Keshodh taluka in Junagadh district on Monday afternoon.
Police recognized the deceased as Jagdish Jhala (45) and the accused as Shanta Jhala (40).
“The couple used to quarrel frequently over Jagdish’s consuming habit. On Monday afternoon, when Jagdish asked for food, Shanta asked him to attend and informed him it might take a while. Incensed on the extend in serving food to him, Jagdish picked up a fight with her. Then Shanta, in a fit of rage, picked up an iron pestle and hit him exhausting at the head, smashing his skull and killing him at the spot,” mentioned Keshodh police station sub-inspector M A Vala.
Shanta has been booked for the homicide at the criticism of her son Hiren Jhala (19).
